Officer Corey Hamm was hired by the Decatur Police Department in February, 2011. He then graduated with honors from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in August, 2011.
Prior to being employed with the City of Decatur, Officer Hamm worked as a jail officer/dispatcher with the Wells County Sheriff’s Department. He also has an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Indiana University, and holds certificates in Advanced Roadside Impairment Detection and Enforcement, The Reid Technique of Interviewing and Interrogation, and is a certified breath test operator.
Officer Hamm was also recently appointed to the position of K9 Handler, and will soon be attending additional training with the department’s new K9 Officer.
