Police Chief – Leonard Corral Jr.

In 1992 Corral started his law enforcement career at the Adams County Jail as a Jail Officer.  He later graduated from Jailer Academy.

In 1993 Corral joined the Decatur Police Reserve Officer program.

On August 16, 1994 Corral was hired full time as a Patrolman.  In June 1994, Corral graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.

From 1997 to 2008 Corral was the departments D.A.R.E. Officer.

In 1999 Corral was assigned to the Adams County CrimeStoppers program as Law Enforcement Coordinator.  He presently remains active in the program.

In 2008 Corral was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

In 2011 Sgt. Corral was promoted to Lieutenant Detective.  He was also assigned to the Adams/Wells DETECT Drug Task Force.

On December 26, 2017 Det. Corral was sworn in as Chief of Police.

Chief Corral is married to Kimberly (Noack) Corral.  Together they have two children Jordan and Jenna.

In his spare time, Chief Corral enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, going to music concerts and sporting events, and participating in community events.
